SNOW
Yes, we know snow is a four-letter word, but it is that time of year when our thoughts turn to preparing for Old Man Winter. Until October 1st we are taking 10% off our everyday low price on leftover walk behind snowblowers. Even though winter arrived late last year, we need to remember the St. Patrick's Day Storm and the Patriot's Day Storm. Both of these dropped plenty of heavy wet snow and knocked out power. This is Maine and we should all plan ahead for the coming season.

MEYERS
If you have downsized your truck because of fuel prices and are now wondering how to plow your driveway we may have the answer. Meyers has just introduced their new Drive Pro plow for smaller vehicles. This 6'8" plow is designed to fit vehicles like the Explorer, Tacoma, Liberty, Colorado, Frontier and Wrangler. Of course Meyers has straight and V-plows to fit most full size trucks as well. Meyer plows have a three-year warranty and a five-year warranty on structural steel.

SERVICE
Our service department has been busy this summer. Whether setting up new equipment, repairing customers' machines or just performing routine maintenance we are a full service facility. Our workload has increased dramatically over the years as our sales have grown. We are now adding shop space and heat in our second building so that we can better serve you, our customers.

We have done our best to keep up with the increase in work, but this is a seasonal business. We can better serve you if you plan ahead and have us service your equipment in the off-season. Right now is the time to have your generator and snowblower serviced, before the fall and winter storms arrive. After you are done mowing for the season we will be glad to service you lawn care equipment so it will be ready for next year.

We have the "We Care" programs in place to help save you money and time. Each fall we run a special for generators and snowblowers. We have a similar program each spring for lawn care equipment. We will pick up your equipment, perform an annual service and return the equipment to you for a flat rate. Please call Wendell or Ainsley to schedule an appointment.

We are also continuing our "Commercial Care Partnership Program". The "Commercial Care Partnership Program" is designed to keep our commercial customers mowing and making money. This program consists of a full inspection and service of commercial mowers. Provided the machine is in good shape we then provide priority service during the season and free loaners if we can not repair the mower within 24 hours. If you are mowing commercially please bring your machine in at the end of the season and take advantage of this program.

PARTS
We have one of the most extensive parts inventories in the area. Our trained professionals are equipped with the latest electronic parts look-ups available. It is our goal to get you the right parts in a timely fashion to keep your equipment running like new.

Each week we do a stock order for most brands, which allows us to save you money on freight charges. If you are in need of parts right away most companies will ship overnight for a fee. Freight is often less expensive than down time. Please ask and we will be happy to expedite your parts.

GENERATORS
Year after year we have customers show up when the power is out to purchase a generator. Had they taken the time to shop early they would not have to drive out during a storm to protect their home and family. According to Honda's website "A portable generator must be connected properly to protect electrical utility workers, family members and property. Improper connection of your portable generator and transfer switch system could void your homeowner's insurance in case of accident or injury".

Honda Power Equipment further states: "A manual transfer switch is the key to safe and convenient operation of portable generators for standby power. By isolating those circuits using generator power, a transfer switch eliminates the risk of back feeding the electrical utility, which can cause injury to workers and property damage."

Our recommendation is to have the transfer switch installed before the need arises. If you are not ready to invest in a generator, please consider having a transfer switch installed. This way when the power goes out you will be ready to safely hook up a generator. We are well stocked with transfer switches, cords, plugs and other generator accessories.

If you already have a generator, when was the last time it was used? The majority of generator problems are from a lack of use not overuse. While you are thinking about it, start your generator and make sure it will be ready when you need it.

Of course, we have the largest selection of generators in midcoast Maine. We have automatic standby generators and PTO generators from Winco and the full line of Honda portable generators. If you thought portable generators were noisy and inefficient, Honda has the answer - the EU6500iSA inverter generator. This unit is 60 dB (quieter than normal speech) at full load and will run up to 14 hours on 4.5 gallons of gasoline.

MILLCREEK

Millcreek Compact Manure Spreaders are the perfect answer to manure handling on a small farm. KUBOTA
Kubota is proud to introduce the RTV1100. This Utility Vehicle has an integrated cab. This eliminates rattles and leaks associated with an add-on or aftermarket cab. This cab is equipped with cloth seats, heat, air-conditioning, windshield wiper and work lights. We can even install a radio. Please stop by for a test drive. Who said work can't be fun?

Kubota's Grand L-40 series tractors feature the most advanced hydrostatic transmission ever offered in a compact tractor, the HST Plus. Not only does this transmission feature adjustable cruise control, but it also features Hydro Dual Speed, Load Sensing, HST Response Control and Auto Throttle. Hydro Dual Speed allows the operator to shift up or down within a range for more power or speed. This function can also be set to automatically shift as the job changes. Load Sensing automatically regulates the transmission to prevent engine stall. The HST Response Control allows the operator to customize how the fast or slow the transmission reacts to operator input. Auto Throttle automatically advances the engine throttle when the operator steps on the hydro pedal and reduces engine speed when the tractor is stopped. Of course, all of these features can be turned off and the tractor operates like a traditional hydrostatic transmission.

NEW HOLLAND
New Holland has introduced the largest compact tractor cab in the industry on the TC40 and TC45. If you felt cramped in other cabs stop by for a test-drive and find out how comfortable you could be.

New Holland has also introduced the T1520 and T2420 standard tractors. These tractors are 35 and 60 hp respectively and are not overloaded with features you don't need or want to pay for.

FIREWOOD
Whether you buy tree length wood or you cut your own trees we have everything the homeowner needs to process firewood. We are well stocked with chainsaws, woodsplitters, logging winches, cant dogs, pulp hooks, grapples and chippers.
