According to the detailed hand-written ledger, Union Farm Equipment sold its first tractor on July 18, 1948, to Ben Nichols, who farmed at his homestead on Route 235 in Hope, Maine. Six identical tractors of the one Ford model available, 8N, were sold that first year. A 1953 8N was taken back in trade in 1996, and the trade-in value was more than its original price! We have 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" chain in stock to secure equipment to your trailer. We also stock a large selection of straps and chain binders. Trailer lights, license plate mounts, trailer balls, drawbars, bearings, trailer jacks, spare tires- we have most anything you need to keep your equipment trailer safe and legal.

Tires and Tire Chains

We have one of the most extensive selections of tires, inner tubes and tire chains in the area. If you need tires or chains for a lawn tractor, utility vehicle, or tractor chances are it is in stock. Of course, our service department will be happy to mount that new tire on your rim.

We stock fingers, knives, sections, and most of the common repair items you need to keep you cutting and baling. Please ask about economy sickle bar knife assemblies. To make repairs more convenient we have disk mower knife kit with bolts and nuts included. Of course, we stock natural sisal and poly twine in 9,000, 10,000, and 16,000, as well as net wrap and Winmore Bale Wrap. We do offer discounts for volume purchases of twine.

Forestry

We have almost everything you need to manage your small woodlot. Our safety gear includes chaps, gloves, helmets, hearing protectors and safety glasses. We stock chokers, sliders and winch cables to keep you PTO winch performing. We stock filters and 4-way wedges for Timberwolf Woodsplitters. Of course, we have chain saw chain, bar and chain oil, two-stroke oil, peaveys, pulp hooks, felling wedges and chain saw files.

Generators and Pumps

We have long been the largest premier generator dealer in the area. We stock power cords, and twist lock plugs to fit most common generator sizes. We have a full selection of manual and automatic transfer switches to safely hook up your generator. We have covers for most Honda generators on the shelf. We even stock a Battery Tender that automatically charges when the batter is low, so you can be certain your generator's starting battery will be ready when the lights go out.

We stock a full selection of suction and discharge hoses for 1 1/2", 2", and 3" pumps. We also keep strainers and quick connect hose fittings on hand.

Fluids and Filters

We recommend using the manufactures lubricants for all tractors and small engines. We stock quality oils from Kubota, New Holland and Honda. These lubricants meet or exceed all manufacturers ratings. We have fuel conditioner, grease, coolant conditioner, and antifreeze, even windshield washer fluid on hand. Whatever lubricant or fluid you are looking for is probably in our extensive inventory. We stock only the best OEM (original equipment manufacturers) filters designed to keep your engine running for years to come.

PTO Drivelines

Union Farm Equipment, Inc. has the largest selection of complete PTO shafts and driveline repair parts in the area. We stock metric and SAE crosses, yolks, shaft tubing, shields, and couplers. If your equipment needs a new shaft or just parts, chances are we have what you need.

Sprockets and Pulleys

We have sprockets, pulleys, belts, drive chains, and master links to fit most anything. Manure spreader and hay conveyor chains are also available.

Batteries

We stock batteries to fit most tractors, generators, and lawn and garden equipment as well as many late model cars and trucks. Be sure to check our stock next time you need a battery and see how affordable a quality battery can be.

Touch up Paint

If you are trying to keep your equipment in showroom condition, we are well stocked with touchup paints. If you are repainting the old Ford, we have the right colors in quarts and gallons of paint ready to spray.

Teeth, Blades, Belts and String

Lawn mowers, lawn tractors, chain saws, cordwood saws, string trimmers, wood chippers, rotary cutters, rotary tillers, flail mowers, bucket teeth, if it cuts we probably have replacement blades, teeth or string to fit it. We also keep a large selection of belts on hand; OEM for the products we sell and Gates for many other applications.

Our parts department is able to make custom hydraulic hoses for most equipment. We have fittings in stock and will cut the hoses to whatever length you require.

We have a large selection of aluminum ramps to help load lawn tractors, ATV's, motorcycles, etc. into your truck or trailer. These ramps are available in flat or curved, folding or fixed. If you want to load it in your truck, we have a lightweight, aluminum ramp that will make your job easier.
